Position Purpose summary:
To assist in the operations of collecting and processing donations in the Food Recovery Program, practicing good stewardship of our donated resources. The student will provide service to local agencies, and business’, sort incoming products, and assists in Family Services operations.
This a Fixed Term Contract Position.

Canada Summer Jobs Program requirements apply. Individuals who required employer-specific work authorization (e.g., international students on study permits) are not eligible under this program. Recent immigrants are eligible if they are Canadian Citizens or permanent residents. This position is funded through the Canada Summer Jobs program. Applicants must meet program eligibility requirements, including age and legal status criteria.
Accountabilities:
Clean and repackage recovered food. Pick up and process donated resources by unloading, sorting, placing, and loading donated items. Work with clients in food distribution. Contribute to the safety of staff and clients (e.g., clear fire exits, no obstacles inside/outside the building, cleans spillage and assist in maintaining facility cleanliness). Take responsibility for the accurate completion of all client intake and recording into system. Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $18.50 to $23.13 with a maximum of $27.76.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
