Job Description

AUIB is seeking a dynamic and service-oriented Community Life Coordinator to strengthen the wellbeing, integration, and sense of community of AUIB faculty and staff, particularly employees relocating from abroad. In this pivotal role, the Community Life Coordinator will provide practical relocation and onboarding support, plan engaging social and cultural activities, coordinate off-campus experiences, and serve as a key point of contact for community life and wellness-related matters. Key Responsibilities:


1. Relocation Assistance & Onboarding: Support incoming employees before and after arrival, coordinate practical relocation needs, campus introductions, transportation, and tailored settlement resources.
2. Community Engagement & Events: Plan and host social gatherings, cultural celebrations, family-friendly activities, clubs, workshops, and other initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and community.
3. Tours & Off-Campus Experiences: Arrange and, when appropriate, accompany cultural, historical, shopping, and leisure excursions in coordination with BWE and trusted service providers.
4. Campus Life Support & Collaboration: Serve as a primary contact for community life matters, contribute to the Campus Quality of Life Committee, and collaborate with HR, IT, Facilities, Student Services, Wellness, and other stakeholders.
5. Community Communications & Resources: Develop welcome and orientation materials, resource guides, and a monthly calendar of activities, and promote approved initiatives through internal communication and social media channels.

2. Organization & Initiative: Highly organized, resourceful, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple events and projects simultaneously.
3. Service Orientation: Responsive and people-focused, with a genuine commitment to supporting employees and improving their campus experience.
4. Collaboration: Able to work effectively across departments and with external partners to coordinate services and community activities.
5. Flexibility & Reliability: Willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when required for events, employee arrivals, and special activities.

Education and Experience

• Required Education: Bachelor’s degree required; hospitality, education, communications, recreation management, or a related field preferred.
• Relevant Experience: Experience in higher education, international, or residential campus settings is preferred.
• Specific Skills or Expertise: Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills; event/project coordination; organization and resourcefulness; proficiency in English and Arabic; Microsoft Office proficiency required.
