About the Project

John Holland, in partnership with Seymour Whyte, is delivering the Beerburrum to Nambour (B2N) Rail Upgrade Stage 1. This significant rail infrastructure project will increase capacity and reliability along the North Coast Line, supporting improved passenger and freight connections between the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay, Brisbane and beyond.
 
The project is being delivered in a complex, live rail environment and has a strong focus on proactive community and stakeholder engagement.

About the Role

We are seeking a Community Liaison Coordinator to join the B2N project team on a fixed‑term contract, with an initial minimum term of six months and the potential for extension.
 
This role has a strong internal communications and engagement focus. You will be responsible for developing engaging content, supporting site‑based communications, and planning and delivering community and stakeholder events that support project delivery and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver internal and external communications materials including newsletters, toolbox talks, flyers, emails and digital content
  • Design high‑quality communication collateral using tools such as InDesign or similar platforms
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver community and stakeholder events, site visits and information sessions
  • Support the development and implementation of project communication and stakeholder engagement strategies
  • Manage and triage enquiries through the community hotline
  • Liaise closely with construction teams to ensure communities and stakeholders are notified in advance of worksIdentify emerging community and stakeholder issues and support proactive mitigation strategies
  • Assist with regular reporting and attendance at stakeholder and coordination meetings

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience in communications, stakeholder engagement or community relations, ideally within infrastructure or construction environments
  • Strong design capability with experience using InDesign or similar design software
  • Demonstrated experience planning and running events, briefings or community activities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced, site‑based project environment
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and confidence working with delivery teams
