The Role: Community Liaison

As the Community Liaison, you will serve as the bridge between the company and the local community. Your mission is to strengthen partnerships, champion community engagement, and drive initiatives that promote social and economic development aligned with the organisation's sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, leaders, and stakeholders.

• Coordinate and implement social development and upliftment projects.

• Track and report on community initiatives and engagement outcomes.

• Facilitate communication between internal departments and external partners.

• Support employment equity and local supplier development initiatives.

• Represent the company at community events, forums, and outreach activities.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Social or Community Development, or a related field.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in community liaison, stakeholder engagement, or social development.

• Understanding of B-BBEE and community development frameworks.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

• Strong organisational and reporting ability.

• Knowledge of local communities and social networks is advantageous.

• Passionate about building trust, creating opportunity, and driving positive impact.
