Job Description

  Execute community engagement strategies and serve as an ambassador of Marine Credit Union.   Enhances Marine Credit Union’s community presences within the local community.   Builds partnerships with community leaders. Promotes credit union products and services by building community partnerships and brand awareness.   Collaborates internally and externally with stakeholders to enrich the lives of people in our communities. Adheres to all credit union policies, procedures, and Federal and State rules and regulations.    Major Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Cultivates community relationships and partnerships to facilitate member acquisition and product growth.
  • Prepares reports regularly on community engagement and impact.
  • Provide insight and recommendations on community engagement efforts.
  • Evaluate the needs of the community and help facilitate plans to meet those needs.
  • Acts as a liaison between the Communities we serve and the Credit Union, supporting community initiatives.
  • Maintains business relationships with SEGs and Community Partners to grow credit union memberships.
  • Engage with branch teams within the market to support community initiatives.
  • Maintain positive brand awareness aligned with MCU’s strategic drivers.
  • Effectively collaborate and coordinate employee community involvement.
  • Mentor and coach employees on how to be a brand ambassador as well as expand financial health and outreach in the communities we serve.
  • Collaborate with Business Development Officers on expanding partnerships through financial advocacy events.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
  • Ability to build rapport.
  • Expert and written and verbal communication.
  • Experience in financial education.
  • Experience in event planning.
  • High attention to detail and service-oriented mindset.
Education:                 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • College Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or Finance desired.
Physical Requirements (with or without accommodation)   
  • Long periods of sitting will occur regularly.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving 15 lbs or less.
  • Occasional bending, stooping, or crouching may be required.
