About the role
As a Community Housing SupportWorker, you will support residents living in transitional housing while ensuring the propertyremainssafe, wellmaintainedand welcoming. You will build positive relationships with residents, help them settle in, respond to day-to-dayneedsand ensure tenancy requirements are met in a respectful and supportive way.
Your work will include tenancy management, welfare checks, resident engagement, safetymonitoringand coordination with contractors. You will also contribute to a calm and respectful environment by responding to maintenance issues, supporting newintakesand ensuring records are kept up to date.
This is a full time, permanent role based in Alice Springs, with salary and conditions aligned to SCHADS Level 4.
How you will make an impact
Establish warm and professional relationships with residents
Provide welcoming and responsive inductions for new tenants
Support residents through regular communication, welfare checks and respectful engagement
Manage tenancy requirements including inspections, rent ledgers,leasesand maintenance
Respond to urgent matters including non-rental payment, safetyconcernsand immediate needs
Maintainaccuratetenant records and update data in line with TSA standards
Coordinate grounds keeping and maintenance with contractors and the Caretaker or Cleaner
Prepare properties for new intakes and complete final inspections
Report incidents and risksin accordance withTSA policies and procedures
Contribute to a safe,calmand culturally respectful environment for all residents
What you will bring
Experience working in a similar tenancy or community housing role
Confidence engaging with people who may not have English as a first language
Strong communicationskills and the ability to build positive relationships
Sound computer literacy in common applications
Diploma in Community Services or relevant experience at an equivalent level
Reliability,integrityand alignment with TSA values
An NT Working with Children Check
A current NT Driver’s Licence
What we offer
$51.37 – $55.28 hourly plus superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties,allowancesand NFP salary packaging

The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) has been providing outstanding care for Victoria's children and their families for over 147 years.
We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.
