We are seeking expressions of interest for Community Care Extended Care Assistants
Huon Regional Care is seeking Community Extended Care Assistants (ECA) to provide support and care to improve health outcomes for our clients living in the Huon Valley, Bruny Island, Kingston, Channel, Hobart regions and the Tasman Peninsula.
In this role, you will be employed on a Permanent Part Time or Casual basis. You are paid for the full shift, including the times you travel between clients. A generous KM allowance is included as well.
You visit multiple clients per shift in different locations as required. L
As an Extended Care Assistant – your duties may include;
1. Provide personal care; showering, dressing, grooming, monitoring medications and supervising daily hygiene.
2. Domestic Assistance; tidying rooms, making beds, cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, shopping, organising and the transport of clients to appointments and outings.
3. Social support one to one or in a group setting in the clients home or int he community.
You will need to have
· Experience in domestic support/caring, or at minimum exposure to community home care work.
· A customer focused approach to your work
· Current Certificate III in Individual Care, Aged Care, Disability or Community Care, or willing to train
· A current First Aid certificate
· Demonstrated time-management skills
· Your own registered and reliable vehicle
· Current Drivers license, car registration and insurance
· Current Working with Vulnerable Person
