Q2 is seeking a Community & Culture Champion who will embody and promote the Q2 brand both externally and internally. This person's main function will be to develop and drive the strategy and direction ensuring Q2 culture remains authentic to the company mission and founding principles - a strong foundation in giving back to the community and the Financial Institution's we serve. This will include building relationships with community organizations as well as local community giving in all of our locations.


The Community and Culture Champion will be responsible to work collaboratively to manage and execute culture and community events as well as with our recruitment team to ensure we are branding and promoting our culture across all prospecting events and initiatives. The successful candidate should be able to work independently and be the sole resource for corporate executives and employees during both the functions and events and planning thereof.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Co-Develop Q2 Community Culture Strategy including all planning, budget management and execution
• Take a detail oriented approach in planning all events for Q2 which will exceed internal customer expectations and professionally represent us with external customers
• Develop the strategy and plan for building a giving community culture within Q2
• Determine a set of yearly initiatives that will continue to grow and become known across the company as well as promote separate individual opportunities for giving that the individual teams can take advantage of
• Develop and execute communication plans to ensure a high degree of awareness internally and externally for the efforts that encompass the building of the brand and culture awareness of Q2 within all recruitment efforts and reporting on results
• Personally manage medium to large-size meetings and events that range in size from 10 to 900 people including RFP, vendor management, site selection, event theme, pre-coordination, registration, budget management and event execution.
• For any M&A activities we might pursue, work with HR in establishing a communication plan for messaging and communication around the corporate culture and the cultural integration plan to ensure the new combined company culture evolves as necessary but remains authentic to the company mission and founding principles
• Develop meeting specifications including project work plans including management of timelines, checklists and budgets
• Coordinate and manage related meetings with cross-functional teams, employee volunteers and event vendors
• Develop meeting communication materials and marketing collateral
• Complete post-event tasks including reconciliation of expenses, evaluation of event, and report out on meeting results; recommend improvements for future meetings
• Research, recommend and select meeting sites and activities that support employee culture/giving objectives; initiate proposals with vendors; effectively negotiate and manage meeting vendor contracts in compliance with corporate procurement policies
• Optimize savings and accurately track meeting and event expenditures to stay within or below budget; is disciplined and cost conscious at all times with demonstrated ability to manage various budgets
• Develop the communication plan working with Internal Comms that embodies the company and cultural brand voice
• Build and maintain a comprehensive social media campaign to drive awareness internally and externally on community services initiatives across all Q2 sites
• Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Communications, PR, Marketing or related fields
• 2-5 years professional meeting and event planning experience with increasing responsibilities
• Large Corporate event experience preferred
• Must be able to work independently and be the sole resource for corporate executives during functions and events
• Ability to establish relationships within a matrix organization and numerous employee functional groups is needed
• Must be detail oriented and have exceptional project management, time management, event management, and vendor management skills
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills needed
• Ability to travel (up to 20%)
• Flexibility in work schedule is required (to include evenings and weekends, as needed)
• Advanced computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Project Management tools

This position requires fluent written and oral communication in English.
