Position Purpose: Facilitate, coordinate and supervise all clinical components of the Rosecrance on Emergency Services program. Provide and monitor continuity of program services in an ethical, legal and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards. Participate as a team member in the delivery of mental health treatment services to clients and their families and facilitate the issues of recovery into their daily living situations.

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field, or a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Must qualify as a LPHA as defined by the Illinois Department of Mental Health Rule 132 within one year of offer.
  • Minimum of one year of direct clinical supervision of professionals engaged in group, family and individual counseling or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Proven proficiency and expertise in clinical skills, demonstrated through successful application in healthcare settings
  • Competence in using common computer applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
  • Strong written skills for timely and accurate documentation completion
  • Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff, or community organizations
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Proficient collaborator with a strong aptitude for teamwork
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements
  • Personal transportation required

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to prescribed work hours set by leadership, with readiness for additional hours as needed and on-call availability.
  2. Provide comprehensive supervision for assigned team members, encompassing orientation, training, conducting regular supervisory meetings with constructive feedback, coordinating scheduled evaluations, and implementing disciplinary interventions as necessary.
  3. Provide oversight and direction to assigned community-based teams.
  4. Provide clinical supervision to team members.
  5. Conduct clinical review of treatment planning for clients and ensure completion, review, and signing of all required clinical documentation.
  6. Ensure that individual and group census numbers are within required fidelities.
  7. Provide individual, family, and group intervention services as needed.
  8. Provide case management and group coverage when needed.
  9. Act as point person when assigned
  10. Facilitate team meetings and case reviews
  11. Provide guidance and clinical supervision to the assigned team in conjunction with ongoing supervision provided by leadership.
  12. Become familiar with all related state and county contracts, and complete monthly reports as required.
  13. Ensure that client service records are maintained consistent with all licensing, accreditation and funder requirements.
  14. Present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff, and community resources as needed
  15. Assist in leadership of the weekly clinical team meetings.
  16. Provide administrative back up for on-call.
  17. Serve as a member of the Administrative Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  18. Understand and comply with all of the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct.
  19. Perform all responsibilities in compliance with the mission, vision, values and expectations of Rosecrance.
  20. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
  21. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.

Physical Requirements/Percentage of Work Time:

  1. Vision Must be able to read clinical documentation, policies and procedures and other written materials 75-100%
  2. Hearing Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with clients within an individual, group or family setting 0-24%; communicate with coworkers 75-100%; communicate on the telephone with a variety of individuals 50-75%
  3. Standing/Walking/Mobility Must have mobility between departments within the facility 25-49%
  4. Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling 0-24%
  5. Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 5 pounds of force frequently to lift or move objects 25-49%
  6. Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to finger keyboard for computer work and phone equipment for placing/receiving calls 50-74%
  7. Sitting Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time when participating in meetings, client care, etc. 50-74%
