Job Title: Community Coordinator
Location: Remote Ireland, with regular travel in Ireland and to Cambridge, UK
Salary: €33,600 - €39,900 p.a. Full-time equivalent, dependent on experience
Basis: Permanent. Full-time, part-time or flexible
Eligibility: You must be eligible to work in Ireland
The role
We are looking to appoint a Community Coordinator to support the growth and engagement of the Code Club community in Ireland. Code Club is a global movement of free coding clubs where young people aged 9-16 years old develop the confidence to create with digital technologies. Code Clubs are run by teachers, educators, and volunteers from all walks of life and take place in schools and community settings, like libraries, museums, and maker spaces.
Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, the Community Coordinator will be responsible for raising awareness of Code Club, establishing and maintaining relationships with partners, supporting schools and community venues to establish and run their clubs, and organising training and other events for the Irish community. You will bring fresh ideas to support the growth of the club network, along with a passion for digital making and inspiring our community of volunteers.
The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering educational programmes in schools and community settings in Ireland and supporting volunteers from diverse backgrounds. You will have a track record of developing successful partnerships, and be capable and confident when communicating with stakeholders at all levels. You will need to be flexible and creative, ready to try new approaches, evaluate, and iterate.
You don’t need to be an expert in computing or digital making, but you do need to bring a passion for our mission and a willingness to learn. Previous involvement with Code Club or CoderDojo, or experience with coding and digital making, would be an advantage.
We work hard to make sure that the Foundation is a place where everyone is supported to do the best work of their careers. We have a flexible and collaborative approach to all aspects of our work. If you're the right person for the job, we’ll make it work for you, and you can be confident that you’ll be joining an exceptional team of people who care about our mission and each other.

About us
The Raspberry Pi Foundation is an independent charity with a global mission to enable all young people to realise their full potential through the power of computing and digital technologies. In Ireland we operate through Raspberry Pi Foundation Europe, which is the trading name for Hello World Foundation, a registered charity in Ireland (1148596).
We empower schools to teach computer science and AI literacy through free curricula, classroom resources, purpose built software tools, and professional development for teachers. We inspire young people to become tech creators through the world's largest networks of coding clubs. We undertake original research that informs our work and which we use to advance the field of computer science education more broadly.
All of our resources and learning experiences are available for anyone to use at no cost. We are particularly focused on creating opportunities for young people who experience educational disadvantage and those who come from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in technology industries.
Over the past decade, we have supported hundreds of thousands of educators and tens of millions of students. We have teams in six countries (India, Ireland, Kenya, South Africa, the UK and US) and partnerships with mission-aligned non-profit organisations in over 60 countries.
We are at the forefront of the global educational movement to expand access to computer science education and AI literacy. You can learn more about our work in our latest Annual Report.

Requirements

The Raspberry Pi Foundation is a UK-based charity with the mission to enable young people to realise their full potential through the power of computing and digital technologies.
Our vision
Our vision is that every young person develops:
• The knowledge, skills, and confidence to use computers and digital technologies effectively in their work, community, and personal life; to solve problems and to express themselves creatively
• Sufficient understanding of societal and ethical issues to be able to critically evaluate digital technologies and their application, and to design and use technology for good
• The mindsets that enable them to confidently engage with technological change and to continue learning about new and emerging technologies
Our long-term goals
1. Education: To enable any school to teach students about computing and how to create with digital technologies, through providing the best possible curriculum, resources, and training for teachers.
2. Non-formal learning: To engage millions of young people in learning about computing and how to create with digital technologies outside of school, through online resources and apps, clubs, competitions, and partnerships with youth organisations.
3. Research: To deepen our understanding of how young people learn about computing and how to create with digital technologies, and we use that knowledge to increase the impact of our work and advance the field of computing education.
