About the role
As a Community Connector you’ll be working directly with vulnerable older people across the Southern Downs Region facing difficult circumstances such as social isolation, homelessness, mental health issues, substance use, family and domestic violence, or justice system involvement. You’ll build relationships with individuals in these communities, listening to their concerns without judgement and supporting them to access aged care and essential services. You’ll collaborate with local services and networks to strengthen community responses to ensure all older people within the designated region can access the support they need.

ADA Australia's general advocacy service has been supporting Queenslanders since 1991. Since 2007 ADA Australia has also provided a guardianship advocacy service, supporting adults with guardianship and administration matters including support at tribunal hearings.
