Community Care Worker (Female* Driver) – Southampton

Home Care Support Worker / Domiciliary Care Assistant

Flexible rota-based shifts available Monday to Sunday (alternate weekends)

From £13.00 per hour + Paid Travel Time and Mileage

Are you a compassionate, reliable individual looking to make a genuine impact in people’s lives? We're expanding our home care team in Southampton and are looking for dedicated Care Assistants to join us.

We are particularly seeking carers to provide strong coverage across SO14, SO15, SO16, SO18 and SO19 with good availability, particularly for weekends and Bank Holidays.

Pay & Benefits

  • From £13.00 per hour
  • Paid travel time (National Living Wage)
  • 45p per mile (business mileage)

Shifts Available

We are especially looking for people who can work:

  • Weekend and Bank Holiday shifts between 07:00 and 22:00 – where demand is highest
  • Early mornings (07:00–10:00) – our busiest and most critical care window
  • Evenings (17:00 - 22:00)
  • Flexible weekday hours also available

If you can support during these times, you’ll be making the biggest difference!

Where You’ll Work

If you're based in SO14, SO15, SO16, SO18 or SO19, you'll benefit from shorter travel times, consistent local work, and the rewarding opportunity to support people within your own community.

What We’re Looking For

  • *Female (Genuine Occupational Requirement – Equality Act 2010)
  • Full, valid UK driving licence
  • Access to your own vehicle with business insurance
  • Right to work in the UK (no CoS available)
  • Must live locally to Southampton area
  • Kind, dependable, and patient individuals
  • Willingness to work weekends and/or early mornings

No previous care experience required – full training provided. Experience in care, support work, healthcare, or domiciliary care is advantageous but not essential.

  • Support clients in their own homes with personal care and daily routines
  • Help with medication, meals, and companionship
  • Provide reassurance and consistency to build trusted relationships
  • Be part of a team delivering high-quality, person-centred care
