PRONIA, meaning “to provide”, is an established not-for-profit community services agency with a rich 50-year history servicing the needs of Victorians, including the Australian-Greek community. We advocate for the vulnerable and provide services to meet current and emerging multicultural community needs including: aged care, NDIS, early education, and family & community programs.
This is a great opportunity to combine your interest in the community sector and your commitment to enhance the lives of our community members. Working across Metropolitan Melbourne, you will be supporting the older people and connecting them to the community. You will provide home care, personal care, light domestic assistance, meal preparation, community participation, shopping and assistance with tasks of daily living.
We place a strong emphasis on professional development and ongoing training. If you are changing career or just wanting to start your journey in aged care, we will hire you before you enrol in a Cert III. A great opportunity to have relevant paid employment as you study.

PRONIA [Pron’-ya] empowers, advocates and cares for the Australian Greek community.
From its origins as a vital support system for the first wave of vulnerable Greek migrants, to building a strong community over 48 years in the making. And now paving the way for whole new generation to realise their potential. Our comprehensive support services, in-depth cultural knowledge, educational expertise and advocacy is undertaken with the aim of creating a stronger community that enables each and every person to overcome disadvantage and reach their potential.
PRONIA means ‘to provide’ or ‘make provision for’ in Greek, but of course it also means more than that. Its deeper connotations of ‘care’ and ‘forethought’ lie at the heart of our mission.
