Communications/Social Media Advisor
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Lord Mayor of Brisbane’s communications team.
The Lord Mayor’s office works in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where they engage with internal and external stakeholders on issues, policies and projects that are priorities of the administration.
The Communications/Social Media Advisor will be a member of the Lord Mayor’s communications team and work with the Director of Strategic Communications.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record identifying social media opportunities and generating creative, engaging content across a diverse range of platforms, as well as video editing skills.
The Communications/Social Media Advisor will also have demonstratable skills as a communications professional with previous experience writing media releases, speeches and/or other content styles.
As a member of the Lord Mayor’s communications team, the successful applicant will also have exceptional interpersonal and organisation skills, an ability to work to deadlines and be occasionally available to perform weekend on-call duties.
Prior experience working in a ministerial, electorate or ward office of an elected Federal, State or Local Government representative will be highly regarded.
This role will require a Criminal History Check.
