Full timeUnder general supervision, this position produces, shoots, and edits both short and long-form news stories, promotional video pieces, and public service announcements using an array of digital and multimedia tools. This role is specifically tasked with the creation and production of new and existing digital communications initiatives and videos on a daily and/or weekly basis with an emphasis on engaging audiences on social media.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software, various video editing programs, and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of content management systems and social media platforms is required.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Education and/or Experience
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a course of study related to the occupational field, supplemented by two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Possession or the ability to readily obtain a valid Class D Oklahoma driver’s license. Previous experience in municipal government is preferred but not required.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals. Ability to write articles, brochures, newsletters, scripts, and correspondence using clear and credible techniques. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, stakeholders, and employees of Tulsa County.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compile data and prepare reports.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to be inquisitive and think creatively about county operations and community engagement.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Possession or the ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
