Corning’s Display Technologies segment manufactures glass substrates for active matrix liquid crystal displays (“LCDs”) that are used primarily in LCD televisions, notebook computers and flat panel desktop monitors.

Role Purpose

Works with a communications team to support the deployment of communications strategies and corresponding tactics that facilitate understanding by the company’s diverse stakeholders of Corning’s business priorities and key messages. Serves as a liaison to internal and external clients and cross functional groups and contributes in a variety of content development, project management, and process ownership areas.

Key Responsibilities

•Support development and execution of internal communication strategy and editorial plan
•Create compelling stories featuring people, business and team collaboration to reinforce company culture and business alignment
•Manage and optimize internal communication channels
•Plan and execute internal campaigns, events, and engagement initiatives
•Lead CSR project execution, including vendor management, partnership development, and internal volunteerism mechanisms
•Act as a communications partner to cross-functional and plant teams, providing consultation and support on communication needs

Experiences/Education - Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with online and social media platforms or willingness to learn
  • Experience working with the English language
  • Digital fluency
  • Desire to work with agencies and vendors

Experiences/Education - Desired

  • Graduate-level education in a related field
  • Global awareness
  • Foreign language skills
