We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time temporary Communications Specialist to join our People team in Langley, BC.
This temporary position is expected to last 12 months.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Communications, you will be responsible for creating clear, engaging communications that connect team members to Pattison Food Group priorities. In this role, you will support a wide range of communications tasks, projects and events, and bring priorities, initiatives, and stories to life through effective messaging, content creation, and channel management, ensuring communications are accessible, on-brand, and audience-focused.
You will be responsible for:
Creating and delivering engaging internal communications content that connects team members to company priorities.
Developing communications for company initiatives and events, including store openings/closures, program launches, and major events.
Providing expert proofreading and editing to support teams in delivering clear, high-quality and on-brand messaging.
Partnering with leaders to develop executive communications, including key messages, presentations, and announcements.
Supporting media relations, including drafting responses, supporting press outreach, and protecting the company’s reputation.
Turning business plans into clear communication strategies and tools for leaders and teams.
Working with stakeholders across the organization to align messaging and gather content.
You have:
A post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in English, communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in communications, journalism, marketing, public relations, or a related field.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel on an as-needed basis.

Compensation Details:
$75,509.00 - $94,387.00
The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience and other factors.
