IdeaTek is looking for a Communications Specialist to join our growing marketing team and help shape how we communicate—both internally and externally. In this role, you’ll be the engine behind our daily content—taking raw ideas and turning them into punchy, engaging narratives that move as fast as our fiber network.

In this role, you’ll own and support a wide range of content, including blogs, press releases, social media messaging, and our company newsletter. This is a brand-new position created to expand our content capabilities, giving you the opportunity to make a real impact and help define our voice as we continue to grow.

A Day in the Life

Imagine starting your day by drafting a blog post highlighting a recent IdeaTek project, followed by building out next week’s social media content calendar and collaborating with our internal designer to bring the visuals to life. You might spend part of your afternoon monitoring our social channels, engaging with our community, or refining messaging for an upcoming campaign launch. Some days, you’ll jump in to support urgent communications, ensuring our customers and employees stay informed when it matters most. By the end of the day, you’ll know your work helped shape how IdeaTek connects with both its customers and its team.

What You'll Do

Key responsibilities include:

• Write and publish blog content for the IdeaTek website to support marketing and brand awareness.
• Create press releases and external communications to share company updates and milestones.
• Develop clear, engaging customer communications across multiple channels.
• Plan, write, and schedule daily organic content across all social platforms (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok), maintaining a consistent, high-energy brand voice.
• Monitor social channels daily to engage with our followers, elevate positive community stories, and coordinate with the Manager to handle complex customer inquiries.
• Partner closely with our internal graphic designer to match your copy with stellar visuals, ensuring every social media post and email looks and sounds cohesive.
• Actively use AI tools to help improve efficiency while maintaining IdeaTek’s brand voice and creative standards.
• Support internal communications to ensure employees stay informed and aligned.
• Own and manage the company newsletter, including content planning and execution.
• Drive messaging strategy while partnering with teams across the company.
• Adapt tone and messaging to fit different audiences, platforms, and communication needs.
• Assist with email content and campaigns as needed.
• Ensure consistency in brand voice across all written materials.
• Attend key company events as needed to capture content and write timely articles or recaps.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong marketing background with an understanding of content strategy
• Experience using social media scheduling tools (e.g., Brandwatch, Hootsuite, or Sprout Social) and basic digital platform analytics.
• Experience with graphic design tools or visual content creation
• Ability to take complex or technical topics and make them easy to understand
• Experience writing for digital platforms such as blogs, email, or web content
• Interest in telecommunications or technology industries
• Experience integrating AI tools like Gemini into your creative workflow to brainstorm and optimize projects.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this role, you'll need the following required qualifications:

• Strong writing and editing skills with a solid grasp of grammar and clarity
