From £37,226.71 to £42,110.54 per annum

Maldon District Council is working in partnership with Essex Shared Services to support the role of Communications Officer, a full-time position offering hybrid working with an expectation of attending the office 2 days per week. Role Purpose: Deliver clear, accurate and accessible communications that support council services, projects and priorities. Support engagement, campaigns, events and promotional activity across appropriate channels. Handle press and communications enquiries promptly and consistently, in line with council standards. Manage allocated communications and marketing work to agreed priorities and deadlines. The Experience You Will Bring: A-level, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification, or relevant experience in communications, marketing or engagement. Experience producing clear, accurate and engaging content for different audiences and channels. Experience supporting campaigns, events, promotions or customer and partner engagement. Working knowledge of digital communications, accessibility and data protection requirements. Strong written and verbal communication, organisation and collaborative working skills. Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and follow agreed standards and processes. Confidence using Microsoft 365 and digital communications platforms, with a commitment to ongoing learning.
