The Royal Australian
and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (the RANZCP) is a not-for-profit
professional membership organisation. We are responsible for training,
educating and representing psychiatrists in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.

The College
is accredited by the Australian Medical Council (AMC) and the Medical Council
of New Zealand (MCNZ) to deliver specialist medical education and training, and
professional development programs.

About the
role

Permanent
| Full time | Naarm (Melbourne)

As
Communications Officer, you will support the delivery of internal and member
communications across a range of channels. Working closely with the
Communications team, you will help prepare, coordinate and distribute content
that is clear, timely and aligned with the College’s brand and communication
standards.

This is a
great opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of content, coordination and
stakeholder support, and wants to contribute to meaningful work that supports
members and mental health outcomes in communities across Australia and Aotearoa
New Zealand.

What
you’ll be doing

  • Support the preparation and delivery of member
    communications across a range of channels, including email campaigns,
    newsletters and website updates
  • Draft and format communications content such as
    announcements, event notices and updates
  • Assist with internal communications, including staff
    updates and internal newsletters
  • Provide administrative and coordination support across
    communications activities, including tracking deadlines and maintaining records
  • Support member publications and journals, including
    formatting and distribution tasks
  • Maintain templates, style guides and communication
    resources

What
you'll bring

  • Relevant
    qualifications in communications or a related discipline, or equivalent
    experience
  • Experience in a
    communications, coordination or administrative support role
  • Strong written
    communication skills with the ability to prepare clear, accurate content
  • Experience using
    Microsoft Office and digital platforms such as CMS or email systems
  • Strong
    organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage
    competing priorities
  • Excellent
    interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of
    stakeholders

What’s in

    + superannuation + salary packaging options (up to $15,899 for general living
    expenses and up to $2,650 for meal entertainment)
