Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary
The Communications Office Assistant (Communications OA) at Chapman Grand supports the communication, marketing, and digital engagement efforts of the Chapman Grand residential community. This position is responsible for helping ensure residents receive timely, accurate, engaging, and accessible information regarding community updates, programs, resources, deadlines, and important Residence Life information.

The Communications OA works collaboratively with the Chapman Grand Area Coordinator, Graduate Resident Directors and other Residence Life and First Year Experience staff to develop creative communication strategies that promote resident engagement and strengthen the Chapman Grand community.

Responsibilities
- Create and manage engaging social media content for Chapman Grand.
- Design flyers, posters, digital graphics, and signage for display throughout the building.
- Promote programs, events, resources, deadlines, and important community updates.
- Maintain consistent and professional branding across digital and printed communications.
- Collaborate with Chapman Grand staff to develop creative and effective ways to engage and inform residents.

Required Qualifications
Little to minimal prior experience. Ability to learn support process. Familiarity with Instagram and Canva

Desired Qualifications
- Experience creating flyers, graphics, social media posts, or other digital content.
- Familiarity with Canva or similar graphic design platforms.
- Photography, videography, or basic video editing experience.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills.
