He angitūtanga: The opportunity

Tātaki Auckland Unlimited (TAU) is TāmakiMakaurau Aucklands cultural, events and destination agency.It is an Auckland Council-controlled organisation that works to make Auckland a vibrant place to live and visit, through events, experiences and taonga (treasures).

We directly manage, operate and promote Go Media Stadium, Mt Smart, North Harbour Stadium and Western Springs Stadium as sustainable, world-class facilities delivering some of New Zealand’s most iconic sporting and music events. We are looking for a Communications & Marketing Manager to lead and deliver our communications strategy and marketing plans for our stadia portfolio.


This is a permanent 40-hour full-time opportunity, managing a marketing and communications co-ordinator, you will work closely with the TAU marcomms and stadium teams to form effective stakeholder relationships and promote opportunities across paid and owned channels to meet Auckland Stadiums’ commercial objectives.

To be successful in this role you will have;

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications/public relations or business with a comms/media focus
  • 7-10 years+ in communications, marketing and/or sales management
  • Full marcomms experience with integrated strategy and planning
  • Experience in a client servicing role, planning and major project delivery.

You will manage the co-ordination of a range of communications and marketing initiatives and projects; establish new protocols and reporting results as appropriate; and manage often competing priorities from across our business.

You are self-motivated, highly focused, and highly organised. You’re a good listener and a good leader who can bring out the best in anyone who reports to you; and you thrive when working collaboratively with others within in a large and complex organisation.
