Job Description

Microsoft Communications is evolving the role creators and emerging platforms play in the traditional communications space. As an organization, we are investing heavily in meeting consumers and business decision makers where they are and engaging with creators, newsletters, podcasts and thought leaders. We are looking for a Communications Manager to support this work through community-focused programming and operations to scale creator work across the communications organization. The right person for this role will be excited to build the strategy, structure, and organized framework to drive scale and consistency to our creator programming, as well as develop engaging and impactful methods of engagement through the Microsoft Creator Portal and Creator Network. This role is ideal for someone who understands the creator landscape from a business and creator-facing perspective and can understand the needs and goals of Microsoft while translating them into an engaging and premium experience for the creator.

Responsibilities

  • Creator Operations Lead Serve as a project manager and operator for creator working across the communications organization.
  • Develop efficient, engaging methods of connection across the org to share learnings and insight.
  • Serve as strategic counsel to communications based on learnings and insights that come out of the Creator Network Translate creator insights and trends into actionable, forward-looking methods of engagement.
  • Build the operational rhythm for the communications organization’s creator work including regular v-team meetings and communication.
  • Management of the Microsoft Creator Network and Creator Portal Develop and evolve an “always on” strategy and approach for engaging with the creators through the Microsoft Creator Portal including early access, hardware seeding, software seeding, executive access, merch drops, and more.
  • Manage the health and quality of the creator pipeline in the Creator Portal including vetting, managing equity across opportunities, and ongoing engagement.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 2+ years communications, marketing operations, field operations, program management, project management, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Finance, or related field AND 5+ years communications, marketing operations, field operations, program management, project management, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience working with social media platforms.

Communications IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
