Job Description

The position is focused on telling our brand story to internal and external audiences across the KSA&B growth region. It will report into the Senior Director of Communications for Latin America and EMEA.

The Communications Manager will play a critical role in the development and execution of an enterprise‑aligned integrated communications program for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and the wider META region, which builds awareness, deepens understanding, and inspires action across all internal and external stakeholders.

This is a hands on, sole contributor role suitable for a seasoned comms professional preferably with at least 10-12 years’ in house experience at a large, matrixed B2B organization. They will bring outstanding fluent English written communications skills, along with a proven ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment, with rapidly shifting priorities. Arabic language fluency is preferred.

Deep experience in B2B media relations is a must, with proven ability to convert complex technologies and issues into impactful stories that engage and inspire. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the political, economic, cultural and nuances within Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and across the wider Middle East and North Africa region, and be skilled in mapping industry stories to broader trends, leveraging their contact book of industry, business and economic media to help tell our growth story externally.

The successful candidate will be well versed in internal communications programs, proficient in internal comms tools including Poppulo and VivaEngage to connect with and engage geographically disperse employee groups, and be comfortable working tactically as well as strategically as part of a broader team. They will also be experienced in running executive positioning programs, including across digital media platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and drive the strategy for a holistic internal and external communications plan for the KSA&B region that meets business objectives and priorities for Honeywell, as it evolves to become one of the world’s leading pure play automation companies.
• Develop and lead regional media programs that are strongly linked to business strategy and regional industry trends, working in close partnership with and alignment to the Senior Communications Manager for META.
• Lead Executive Positioning strategies for our regional President to drive top-tier media coverage, and support employee engagement and visibility initiatives to further the company’s reputation.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key reporters/media and manage media inquiries and interview requests, supporting across the wider META region as required.
• Develop and deploy new, innovative tactics in support of delivering compelling messaging to employees across the business in both KSA&B, and across META.
• Support major initiatives, organization transitions, leadership changes, and other transformation steps through innovative and effective communication plans that address the needs of varied audiences and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and facilitate budget and vendor relationships, event management and project teams as appropriate.
• Work with appropriate businesses, functions, and government relations on crisis and issues management.
• Oversee and develop content for press releases, bylined articles, key messages, media statements, Q&A documents, and briefings.
• Champion AI within the Communications space.
• Ability to travel 10 - 15% of the time.

YOU MUST HAVE

• Proven track record of results, change communications and positioning executives internally and externally.
• Strong contact list of Saudi-based media, with proven record of successfully pitching news stories/ideas, managing journalist inquiries and ensuring our external stakeholders get the information they need in a clear, timely way.
• Strong (AP style) writing skills, with the ability to develop clear, concise messages that align closely with corporate messaging. Fluency in English is essential, with Arabic highly preferred.
• The ability to think strategically, provide communications counsel, and assist in developing plans to drive results.
• Ability to identify issues proactively and execute actions to eliminate or minimize their potential impact.
• Self-starter with ability to thrive in a matrix organizational structure where priorities can shift quickly.
• Excellent project management and the ability to simultaneously prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Intimate understanding of social media, especially LinkedIn, and an advanced understanding of how best to leverage channels such as Viva Engage to promote employee engagement.
• Ability to provide communications guidance and work effectively across businesses and corporate functions.
• Strong business acumen and partnering, consulting and influencing skills with the ability to build and navigate relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Advanced understanding of business processes and vernacular.
