We are looking for a passionate and talented Communications Manager based in Geneva to oversee the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). This role will work with the Head of Communications for viagogo to drive the corporate and consumer communications strategy in DACH. This role will also support policy communications to help explain the company’s policy position and influence public discourse. This includes enhancing brand visibility through traditional media and digital channels. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller, a strategic thinker, and a relationship builder who thrives at the intersection of culture, community, and brand purpose.

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Communications & Storytelling
    • Plan and implement a corporate and consumer communications strategy for viagogo in the DACH region.
    • Support day to day proactive brand and reputational storytelling.
    • Help drive policy communications and translate policy issues into accessible content for media and the public.
    • Support strategic communications campaigns tied to policy initiatives and work closely with GR team to ensure message alignment.
    • Develop and execute integrated communications strategies to support brand and partnership initiatives across sports, music, entertainment, industry and social impact.
    • Craft compelling narratives and messaging that highlight the brand’s role and impact in cultural and purpose-driven partnerships.
    • Develop communications materials including pitches, key messaging, narratives, and media FAQs related to viagogo news that resonate in DACH region.
    • Build and maintain a proactive editorial and social media calendar of partnership moments and activations.
    • Help drive partnership storytelling across sports, music, entertainment and social impact.
    • Support day to day management of German viagogo consumer and corporate communications agencies.
  • Media Relations
    • Build strong relationships with DACH media across business, lifestyle, sports, entertainment, and social impact verticals.
    • Manage press outreach, media briefings, and story pitching to secure impactful coverage. Oversee press materials including releases, messaging, and Q&As.
    • Support with DACH media inquiries, including gathering data, drafting statements, and providing timely responses, work closely with CS to investigate media queries.

What You've Done

  • 5-8+ years of experience working in communications and media relations, preferably in the media, entertainment, music, sports, or lifestyle category.
  • Experience managing brand partnerships.
  • Passion for PR and brand storytelling and dreaming up bold content ideas.
  • Has strong media relationships with DACH media, particularly in Germany.
  • Proven record of pitching and securing consumer and business press, and a deep understanding of the business and lifestyle media in the DACH region.
  • Experience building compelling media narratives using data and insights.
  • Strong expertise in content strategy and able to lead editorial and social media content campaigns.
  • Ability to anticipate, manage and mitigate reputational risks.
  • Experience in an agency or experience managing an agency.
  • Project management skills including hands-on planning and execution.
  • Experience crafting messaging for executives and liaising with C-suite executive.

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of StubHub’s total compensation and competitive benefits package, which includes equity, 401(k), paid time off, paid parental leave, and comprehensive health benefits.
