About the Position

We are looking for a Communications intern in Amsterdam, reporting to the Communications Manager for the Benelux region. As an intern in the Media Team, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of financial communications. This role is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of media relations and corporate communications within a leading financial services company. You will gain valuable experience by supporting the team in various projects and initiatives in the Netherlands, but also work on pan-European projects, contributing to the success of our communications strategy of Euronext.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing communication materials, including press releases, Q&A’s, and press kits, across various business activities.
  • Support the arrangement of press briefings, and media interviews for key spokespeople.
  • Contribute to the development of content for social media and other (digital) platforms, maximising the social presence and impact of the company and key spokespeople.
  • Assist with the coordination media and other public events, such as press interviews, photoshoots and film recordings.
  • Assist in organising high-profile events, including gong ceremonies, and ensure maximum visibility through social media channels.
  • Maintain and update the media database, fostering strong relationships with key media contacts.
  • Work closely with the events and marketing team to support campaigns and events with media reach and increase effective communication with other stakeholders.
  • Support in the creation of internal communications, such as the monthly newsletter, Intranet and other internal communication tools.

Your profile

  • Native Dutch speaker and with fluent English; proficiency in other European languages is a plus.
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in communications, media studies, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
  • Good communication skills and feel at ease with communication with clients
  • G ood organizational skills with ability to work on different topics at the same tim
  • Ambitious and eager to learn, with attention to detail.
  • Like working in a team & capable of working independently
  • Proactive and enthusiastic, with an interest in the financial markets and media industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of financial markets and products is advantageous.

About the Department

The Communications and Investor Relations team at Euronext operates across Amsterdam, Brussels, Dublin, Lisbon, Milan, Oslo, and Paris. We play a vital role in shaping how the media and other stakeholders perceive Euronext, organising all external events, and managing relationships with investors and analysts.

Our team is composed of talented individuals specialising in various areas, including media relations, event management, investor relations, employee engagement, social media communication, and brand & content management. Additionally, our Editorial Review team ensures that all internal and external communications in English are polished and ready for distribution.

The Media Relations team is dedicated to informing the public about Euronext's mission, policies, and practices in a positive and credible manner. We aim to maintain a strong public image and enhance Euronext's visibility. By developing targeted communication strategies, we effectively convey our messages to external audiences and build strong relationships with the press. In times of crisis, our role is to protect Euronext's reputation in the media, supporting the business strategy and fostering positive perceptions among the media and the public. Our team embodies Euronext's federal model, with a Communication Manager in each country and corporate communication managed from Paris.

The Media Team is responsible for managing both internal and external communications and media relations. We work closely with various departments to ensure our messaging aligns with Euronext's strategic goals, delivering clear and consistent communications to stakeholders, including investors, clients, and the general public.
