Communications Intern

Alamos Gold is seeking an intern to join us in our Toronto Head Office and support the Communications team. We are flexible with placement options including length and start of placement dependent on your program requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Communications Intern will assist and support with:

  • Research, writing and the development of external communications and marketing products
  • Managing inventory and organizing of marketing assets
  • Development of advertising creative and help to coordinate the placement of digital, radio and print advertisements.
  • Alamos Gold’s community development initiatives.
  • Coordination of events and media outreach, as required

What You Bring!

  • An interest in mining and government/politics
  • You are working towards a bachelor's degree or master's degree from an accredited university or college in Political Science, Marketing, Communications or Business
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint
  • Experience with social media platforms ( LinkedIn, X and Facebook)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong editing and writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
