The Communications Insights & Analytics Manager leads SLB's enterprise communications measurement program, helping the organization understand the impact of its communications activities and make more informed business decisions.
This role transforms data from communications, marketing and digital channels into actionable insights that guide strategy, improve performance, strengthen reputation and optimize investment across the enterprise. Leveraging advanced analytics, automation and emerging AI capabilities, the role continuously evolves how communications impact is measured, understood and optimized.
Working closely with Communications, Marketing, IT and external vendors, the role develops reporting products, establishes measurement standards and delivers analytics across web, internal communications, external communications, campaigns, earned media, social media, and other digital channels.
The role serves as a strategic advisor to Communications leadership, providing the measurement, insights and recommendations needed to inform planning, prioritization and investment decisions across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
Communications Insights and Analytics Strategy
Lead the Communications Insights and Analytics Program and drive the evolution of SLB’s enterprise communications measurement capabilities, reporting framework and analytics roadmap.
Define KPI frameworks, measurement standards and methodologies that connect communications outcomes to business objectives.
Establish benchmarks and performance targets that help leaders assess impact and identify opportunities for improvement.
Identify emerging trends, risks and opportunities through data analysis and proactively provide strategic recommendations.
Advance the use of analytics, automation and AI to improve how communications impact is measured and understood.
Reporting Products & Insights
Design reporting products that provide executives, Communications leaders, campaign managers and channel owners with clear, decision-ready insights.
Translate complex communications and digital marketing data into meaningful insights, recommendations and business implications.
Deliver quarterly business reviews highlighting performance drivers, emerging trends, risks, opportunities and strategic priorities.
Analyze communications effectiveness across channels, audiences and campaigns to inform future investment and strategy decisions.
Continuously improve reporting products to ensure they remain relevant, actionable and aligned with stakeholder needs.
Technology & Data Management
Manage vendors and technologies that support the communications analytics ecosystem.
Partner with IT to ensure communications data is reliable, secure, governed and scalable.
Improve reporting automation, data quality and operational efficiency while reducing manual processes.
Evaluate new technologies and AI-enabled capabilities that strengthen analytics and insight generation.
Stakeholder Partnership & Innovation
Partner with Communications leaders to identify critical business questions and develop measurement approaches that support strategic decision-making.
Guide stakeholders in interpreting performance data and translating insights into actions that improve communications effectiveness.
Train stakeholders on reporting products, KPI interpretation, measurement best practices and data-driven decision-making.
Foster a culture of measurement, accountability and continuous improvement across the Communications function.
Required Qualifications
5–8 years of experience in communications analytics, digital marketing analytics, business intelligence, or a related field.
Demonstrated experience using GA4, GTM, Looker Studio/Power BI, BigQuery, SQL and Python to analyze communications and digital marketing performance.
Experience synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data into executive-level insights and recommendations.
Demonstrated success designing executive reporting products, KPI frameworks and enterprise measurement standards.
Strong analytical, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Marketing Analytics, or a related discipline.
Google Analytics, Business Intelligence, or related certifications.
Experience applying generative AI tools to improve analytics.
Knowledge of media intelligence, social intelligence, sentiment analysis, audience intelligence or reputation measurement.
Experience with communications, media intelligence and marketing platforms such as Talkwalker/Meltwater, Hootsuite, Sitecore, Brightcove, LinkedIn, Meta, Semrush, Folloze, TyGraph, Workshop, Emarsys.
Experience leading analytics transformation initiatives or enterprise reporting programs.
