Department: Marketing, PR & Events
Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time
Location: UK - London
Reporting To: Senior Communications Manager
As a Communications Executive, you will play a key role in supporting our growing communications function, helping to drive awareness of our market leading insurance proposition with brokers, customers and the wider industry. Reporting into our Senior Communications Manager, you’ll join a fun, collaborative team in a fast-paced environment where you’ll help develop content, generate coverage and generally make great things happen.
In this role, you’ll support the communications team with day-to-day coordination using workflow tools such as Monday.com, keeping the communications calendar up to date and ensuring the team stays organised. You’ll track media coverage and prepare regular reports, support our awards programme by drafting and submitting entries, and upload press releases and content to our online resource centre. You’ll work closely with our underwriting teams to help create clear and engaging content, and partner with the content team to ensure media coverage, blogs and articles align with wider marketing activities. You’ll also work with the digital team to amplify coverage across our social media channels.
The role will also support Internal Communications. You’ll help draft internal news items, assist with creating video content for colleagues, and support the planning and delivery of internal events and initiatives, helping to ensure our people are informed, engaged and connected to what’s happening across the business.
This role is ideal for someone early in their communications career, who has already built a solid grounding in PR or comms and is ready to take the next step. You’ll bring hands-on experience, ideally gained within a B2B environment, and the enthusiasm to grow, learn and take on more responsibility in a busy, dynamic team.
As you develop, you’ll have opportunities to draft press releases, expert comments and reactive statements with guidance, contribute to communications campaigns that build brand awareness and support broker engagement, and work alongside the Senior Communications Manager on campaign planning and delivery. You’ll also help build relationships with trade media, support journalist enquiries and assist internal teams with ad hoc communications needs.
