Responsibilities

Brand Strategy Management

  • Originate, develop and lead robust marketing strategies to maximize resources to align with global brand positioning across retail markets and domestic trade partners as well as new entrance markets.
  • Lead a strategic planning and execution of integrated interdisciplinary promotional efforts of Communications, Media, PR, Influencer activity and Brand Events
  • Skillfully conceptualize global brand strategy to effectively provide insight for market implementation


Brand Local Execution Management

  • Translation of centrally developed brand concepts for local execution when relevant
  • Lead and manage the interdependencies between functions within the region and foster the alignment within the functions
  • Assess and recommend trade-offs within markets
  • Manage & evaluate the performance results with sub- teams to deliver the best results
  • Work to gain consistency, alignment and efficiencies between markets


Metrics and Measurement

  • Originate, develop and execute qualitative and quantitative market research levering local and Central resources
  • Lead in assessing and reporting competitive and cultural trends
  • Develop and lead strategies concerning identified trends, spearhead the projects on Chinese customer initiatives
  • Track trends, analyzing market research & studies, making recommendations, and developing comprehensive strategic briefs based on data.
  • Originate understanding mind set of consumer and competition in order for us to keep the competitive advantage – acting on this insight
  • Have ownership of the regional communications budget, in partnership with the finance teams

Agency and Team Management

  • Manage & direct Advertising, Media, Public Relations, leading communications teams within Region
  • Maintain strong relationships with key press and opinion leaders in South Asia Pacific and identify opportunities for high visibility brand and product stories in partnership with Central
  • Oversee and optimize agency relationships, partner with Global Media and actively pursue emerging media

Relationship Management (Central and Market)

  • Responsible for making the case to central regarding the Regions needs with influence and two-way dialogue to ensure there is a balance.
  • As touch points to ensure one brand voice – including, but not limited to human resources (for employment / product brand alignment), education and real estate for brand message, product presentation and other key alignment
  • Manage workflow between and within markets, region and central.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related disciplines
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, or related roles
  • Proven leadership experience managing communications teams across multiple markets or regions
  • Strong track record of developing and executing communications strategies at scale
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skill, team player, self-motivated and analytical mind
  • Diligent, client oriental, care to details, willing to learn and develop
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision making
  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite

Preferred

  • Luxury retail experience
  • Fluent in Mandarin desirable
