The Opportunity

We're partnering with a leading integrated communications agency to find an experienced Communications Director to lead a portfolio of high-profile clients across technology, consumer, corporate, property and financial services.

This isn't a role for someone who simply delivers campaigns. We're looking for someone who isn't afraid to challenge thinking, ask better questions and join the dots between culture, business and communications to uncover opportunities others might miss.

You'll be equally comfortable sitting across the table from a CEO as you are mentoring a junior team member. Whether you're navigating a sensitive issue, identifying a new opportunity for growth, or helping a client make sense of a changing landscape, you'll bring confidence, commercial intelligence and calm authority to every conversation.

This is a genuine leadership role with ownership of client relationships, team development, account performance and business growth.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading integrated communications strategies across a portfolio of high-profile clients.
• Building trusted relationships with senior executives and C-suite stakeholders.
• Providing strategic counsel on reputation, media, issues management and communications challenges.
• Identifying emerging trends, risks and opportunities that impact client objectives.
• Driving client satisfaction, retention and organic account growth.
• Managing account profitability, resourcing and commercial performance.
• Leading, coaching and developing communications professionals across multiple client teams.
• Supporting the career development of direct reports while mentoring mid-level and junior team members.
• Creating a collaborative, high-performing team environment where people are challenged, supported and set up for success.
• Working closely with agency leadership to drive business performance and long-term growth.

You'll also bring:

• Significant experience in PR, communications, corporate affairs or integrated agency environments.
• A strong track record managing senior client relationships.
• Experience advising C-suite executives and senior stakeholders.
• Strong commercial understanding, including account growth, profitability and client retention.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Experience managing complex communications challenges and sensitive issues.
• The confidence to lead difficult conversations and provide trusted strategic advice when it matters most.
