The Opportunity

Research doesn't speak for itself — it needs people who can translate rigorous evidence into clear, compelling narratives. The Australian Living Evidence Collaboration (ALEC) team is looking for a Communications Coordinator to help bring their work to the audiences who need it most.

What You'll Be Working On

• Developing and coordinating communications content across digital channels, including ALEC’s website, newsletters, and social media, to promote and support engagement in the national, living guidelines ALEC develops and other research programs
• Supporting the preparation of engaging visual and plain language content that accurately translates complex health and research information for non-specialist audiences
• Coordinating internal and external communications activities, including scheduling, drafting, and maintaining brand consistency across materials
• Working closely will ALEC team members, and institutional communications teams to align messaging with broader strategic priorities

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated skills in communications, content development, or a related field
• Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and complexity for varied audiences, from the public to health professionals to policymakers
• Familiarity with digital communications, graphic design tools and content management platforms
• An understanding of health research or clinical guidelines will be highly regarded
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across a part-time schedule

This is a fixed-term, part-time opportunity based at Alfred campus, embedded within a team whose work directly informs healthcare policy and practice. You'll be contributing to research that matters — and making sure it reaches the right people, in the right way.
