Job Description

NextGen Federal Systems is seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to provide technical communications and COMSEC support to our Intelligence Community (IC) customer. The selected candidate will support field operations, equipment accountability, and secure communications infrastructure within a high-tempo mission environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Recommend technical solutions and conduct market research to identify emerging technologies that enhance ATI operational mission objectives 
  • Maintain, test, and support equipment and systems required for field operations 
  • Train government personnel on the use and functionality of ATI-controlled COMSEC equipment 
  • Provide support to logistics staff regarding equipment inventory and property accountability 
  • Support technical decisions made by ATI senior management regarding communications equipment and protocols 
  • Track and maintain all COMSEC material and Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) equipment 
  • Provide support to both CONUS and OCONUS operations as required 
  • Manage IT/laptop accountability, maintenance, configuration, and distribution 
  • Follow logistics procedures and protocols to ensure accountability of ATI-assigned property 
  • Serve as backup to logistics coordinators in support of daily objectives, projects, and operational duties 
  • Maintain warehouse network and internet connectivity; troubleshoot issues and coordinate with external vendors as necessary 
  • Courier classified and unclassified materials between locations in accordance with security protocols 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in DoD logistics and COMSEC 
  • Demonstrated experience handling and tracking COMSEC material and CCI equipment 
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting communications and IT equipment 
  • Familiarity with property accountability and logistics procedures within a DoD environment 
  • Ability to support both domestic and overseas operational requirements 
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to operate effectively in a secure, mission-driven environment 
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required

  • Experience supporting Intelligence Community organizations 
  • Experience maintaining warehouse or field communications networks 
  • Experience training personnel on secure communications systems
