The Division of Human Resources provides quality services to attract, motivate, manage and retain a diverse and competent workforce. The division emphasizes customer service based on consultation and communication with the DODD workforce in order for the agency to more effectively carry out its mission and values.

What You'll Do:

Under general direction, assists the communications team in performing various duties:

  • Prepares public relations materials such as newsletters and fact sheets

  • Assists with creating and scheduling social media content, designing graphics and other materials

  • Develops questions, interviews, and writes for written pieces

  • Assists on video shoots and takes event photos; assists with website updates and edits

  • Helps maintain distribution lists and communication channels

  • Attends meetings & takes notes when needed

  • Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of the internship.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree program related to Communications, Marketing, or
    Business
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint)
  • Experience with social media is a plus
