As a Communication Associate I, you will produce editorial content for Cleveland Clinic marketing publications and electronic media while completing communication projects that support Cleveland Clinic’s health system marketing objectives. In this role, you will proofread editorial content for Cleveland Clinic digital marketing, ensuring it follows brand voice and tone, is grammatically correct, and adheres to AP style. You will collaborate with the writing team to resolve questions about copy and independently manage an assignment dashboard to complete projects in a timely manner.

A caregiver in this position works remotely from 8:00 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m. (flexible)

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

  • Produce editorial content for Cleveland Clinic marketing publications and electronic media.
  • Conduct secondary research for publication development.
  • Plan, develop and implement communication collateral for various client areas including administrative, clinical, research and education departments.
  • Write and edit copies for speeches, Web, newsletters, brochures, direct mail pieces, displays and other collateral materials.
  • Collaborate with client areas and graphic designers to determine appropriate graphic presentation of copy.
  • Proofread editorial content for Cleveland Clinic digital marketing.
  • Ensure content follows our brand voice and tone.
  • Make sure copy is grammatically correct and follows AP style.
  • Work directly with the writing team to double-check any questions about copy.
  • Manage a dashboard of assignments independently in a timely manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English or closely related field

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

  • Communications or marketing related work experience which includes writing, editing, researching or preparing material for publication
  • Experience proofreading for an online or print publication
  • Experience using style guides

Physical Requirements:

  • Requires high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a PC/word processor, normal or corrected vision.
  • Requires frequent sitting and frequent walking to meetings.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
