Job Description

The Communications Assistant within the USC Student Health Communications Department will assistant with day to day operations of the department as well as projects, metrics and student outreach on campus. This position in particular will act as a liaison between USC Student Health and the international student community.

Essential Duties

  • Prepare metrics for Communications department, including monthly data and KPIs - metrics skills needed.
  • Provide Chinese translation assistance (needs to be bilingual and fluent in Chinese and English).
  • Provide assistance with Communications department outreach to students.
  • Act as a liaison between Communications and international students that work within USC Communications.
  • Knowledge of WeChat (Chinese social media).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Req Degree in related field.
  • Req 6 - 12 months Entry level Communications professional with experience working in higher education communications.
  • Req Must also be fluent in Chinese and English; oral and written skills.
  • Req Excellent communications and written skills in Chinese and English

Preferred Qualifications:

Required Licenses/Certifications:

  • Fire Life Safety Training (LA City). If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)

The hourly rate range for this position is $22.00 – $34.18.
