Seymour Whyte is looking for a passionate and creative Communications Advisor to join our Corporate Communications team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves storytelling, content creation, employee engagement and digital communications, and wants to make a genuine impact across a national business.

Working closely with teams across Australia, you'll help uncover and share the stories that showcase our people, projects, achievements and values. From employee campaigns and newsletters to social media, videos, intranet content, leadership communications and events, you'll play a key role in strengthening the employee experience and building our brand.

About the role:

As Communications Advisor, you’ll contribute to a broad range of internal and external communication activities to bring our stories, people and projects to life. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating engaging written, visual and video content for internal and external audiences
  • Developing and coordinating content across newsletters, intranet, social media, LinkedIn, websites, email communications, presentations and events
  • Supporting communication campaigns and multi-channel content that strengthen employee engagement and Seymour Whyte's employer brand
  • Helping connect employees to the people, projects, initiatives and opportunities across the business through compelling storytelling
  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to identify, develop and share stories that showcase our culture, values and achievements
  • Managing and enhancing digital communication platforms, including intranet content
  • Coordinating communication materials, events, photography and video production, while monitoring performance and effectiveness

About you:

You’ll be someone who enjoys working with people, turning information into clear and engaging content, and balancing creativity with strong attention to detail. You’ll be comfortable managing competing priorities, working to deadlines and building strong relationships across the business.

You will bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or significant experience in a similar communications, marketing or content role
  • Strong knowledge of communications and marketing principles, including digital marketing, content planning, public relations and communication strategies
  • Experience with internal communications, brand strategy, employee value propositions or employer brand activity
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to consult with stakeholders and create content for different channels
  • Strong attention to detail, initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with intranet or web environments, including go-live, content management or ongoing operation
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience, content scheduling tools and digital content skills would be highly regarded
  • A current driver’s licence and ability to travel when required
