About the Role

The primary focus of the Communications Advisor is to manage, measure and improve key communication channels and identify opportunities to engage employees through communications that create clarity and alignment for key enterprise-wide non financial risk strategic initiatives. Day-to-day this includes developing, publishing and distributing engaging written and visual content across ANZ’s internal communications channels including Max, Weekly Wrap, Viva Engage, and external channels such as LinkedIn. This role also includes the ongoing management of these channels.

What will your day look like?


As a Communications Advisor you will:

  • Document and maintain all the communication channels being used to communicate and engage with the NFR program.
  • Under the direction of senior team members, develop communication to support the NFR program of work through ANZ’s internal channels including Max, Viva Engage, Weekly Wrap as well as new channels
  • Support the development of communications plans to support consistent communications of the NFR program, providing tools to support people leaders such as talking points, people leader guides etc.
  • Work collaboratively with Program Communications team members and divisional stakeholders to ensure program is aligned to existing bank’s strategic priorities and activities.
  • Support measurement and reporting of relevant projects.
  • Use feedback, analytics and survey data to continuously improve communication approaches.
  • Assist with the development of comms reporting framework that captures key activities, metrics and qualitative insights.
  • Support compliance with relevant legislation and ANZ Group policies and procedures.
  • Support implementation of best practices to deliver ANZ’s strategic agenda and help support customers.
  • Build networks and maintain relationships across Communications and Public Affairs and broadly across the organisation

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including power point skills.
  • Organised, able to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
  • Project coordination experience, including the demonstrated ability to plan, co-ordinate, research and deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Contract, vendor management and Event management
  • Experience using databases in the context of program delivery, training and reporting
  • Creative, able to identify opportunities to improve processes
  • Strong judgement and ability to determine potential reputational risk.
  • Identify potential issues and plans to address them.
  • Minimum five years of experience in same and similar fields.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset.
  • Experience in webcast production, employee communications management platforms.
  • Skills in video production and creative design and execution.
