The Dealer Relations department is currently accepting applications for experienced communications professional to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Dealer Relations, you will play a key role in developing effective communications for our dealer and industry partners while also supporting administrative responsibilities that contribute to smooth team operations.

The Communication Specialist will be responsible for:

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Manage team reporting requirements, including preparing regular and ad-hoc reports for leadership
  • Maintain and oversee the Dealer Relations team mailbox, ensuring timely responses, proper routing, and accurate record-keeping
  • Track, manage, and document communication schedules, procedures, and team metrics
  • Support administrative components of campaigns and projects, including scheduling, documentation, and follow-ups
  • Support the Account Managers in research and resolution of operational issues
  • Processing money movement to our dealer partners via A$M on Fundserv
  • Support the planning, organization, and execution of the annual Dealer Conference, including logistics, content coordination, timelines, and partner engagement
  • Provide additional administrative support for the team where necessary

Communication Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinating all aspects of internal and external dealer related communications for both print and online, including announcements and bulletins
  • Managing and updating content for the corporate website, intranet site, dealer broadcasts and newsletters; collaborate with partners to provide accurate and timely content
  • Work with the Senior Manager and other team members to ensure campaigns/plans are moving forward in a timely manner
  • Working closely with Account managers on external communications content and supporting material
  • Consolidate, maintain, and document communication logs, schedules, procedures, and approved messaging for reference and reporting purposes

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of asset management operations and the mutual fund industry
  • Exceptional business writing skills and advanced time management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and consulting skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing communications campaigns for both internal and external audiences
  • Strong analytical, organizational and research skills
  • Attentive and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple projects within tight deadlines
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Adobe, and related MS Office applications
  • Quick learner of new technologies
  • Post–secondary degree or diploma in Communications or Public Relations an asset
  • Successful completion of CSC and/or IFIC Operations is an asset
  • Working knowledge of AI tools and concepts
  • Knowledge of Fundserv and Mackenzie’s processing and reporting systems is considered an asset.

The expected annual base salary range for this role is $52,000-$67,500 which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
