People, Culture & Communications

DNK-Randers, Danish Crown Vej

Communication Specialist

Would you like to help strengthen the dialogue with the owners of one of Denmark’s largest co-operative companies?

At Danish Crown, we are looking for a skilled and curious Communication Specialist to drive and develop our owner communication. You will work closely with our Director for Owner Communication and colleagues across Corporate Communication & Public Affairs.

Danish Crown is owned by around 4,850 farmers. We are committed to communicating openly and transparently with our owners – and this role sits right at the centre of that effort.

You do not need in-depth knowledge of agriculture. What matters is that you bring curiosity and an interest in understanding what makes communication work, and that you are motivated by advising on messages and formats as well as producing the content yourself. Over time, you will take independent ownership of selected projects and communication areas.

About the role
You will become part of a small communications team, where we collaborate closely across disciplines and support each other when needed. The role spans a variety of core communication tasks, and we expect you to take ownership of your own areas while contributing broadly across the department. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with colleagues in other functions across the organization.

While the corporate language is English, all owner-facing communication is conducted in Danish. Fluency in written and spoken Danish is therefore required.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop, plan and write weekly newsletters to our owners
  • Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen and further develop our owner communication
  • Produce articles featuring owners and topics relevant to the co-operative model
  • Produce and edit video and audio content from our in-house studio, including content with our CEO and other senior leaders
  • Ensure alignment between owner communication and broader communication agendas
  • Contribute across the communications department when needed

About you
You may have a background as a journalist, communicator or similar, and you are motivated by making complex topics clear, relevant and engaging.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong journalistic skills and can angle stories, write, film and edit content
  • Takes ownership of projects and workflows
  • Thrives in a role that combines execution and development
  • Has technical flair and a hands-on approach to content production
  • Builds trust easily with owners, colleagues and senior stakeholders
  • Maintains overview and structure across multiple tasks
  • Is fluent in Danish (written and spoken)

Experience with video, audio or studio production is an advantage – but not a requirement. What matters most is your mindset and willingness to learn.

Danish Crown

About Danish Crown

The Danish Crown Group is a global food processing company and among the largest in its field. The Group is the world’s largest pork exporter and Europe’s largest pork processor. Furthermore, Danish Crown Beef is a significant player in the European beef market.

Just like the crops in the fields continuously change, Danish Crown tirelessly refine and improve how we work, from farm to fork, to ensure good, safe food for people around the world to enjoy. Our history goes back to 1887 and the Danish cooperative movement, and responsibility towards society, our employees and our owners, the farmers, is quite simply in our genes.

As a global leader in meat production, we have big obligations; not just to deliver, but to explore new opportunities. We still have a long way to go and face many challenges. But we remain committed to improving how food is produced - with respect for animals, people and the environment. In this quest, we are prepared to challenge ourselves, the industry and the market.

This journey is not ours alone, but we promise to be the leaders of change.

You will become a part of a strong culture with roots in the Danish co-operative movement, and at all levels of the organization, you will be met by an informal and direct tone.
