JOB LOCATION - Scranton Regional Hospital - 2nd shift

POSITION PURPOSE

The Telecommunications Operator is the initial contact the public contacts for assistance at multiple sites. This position is

responsible for all departments to receive their calls accurately and timely, along with initiating all alarm, code and on-call

procedures. On call procedures include pathways that are detailed that must be followed at all times. The

Telecommunications Operator is the regional Transfer for Center. Operators who receives patient transfers (both in and

out) access all parties by type transfer and completes transfer reports on Lynx System.

POSITION QUALIFICATION

Experience/Specialized Skills/Aptitudes

Clear, concise diction. Excellent telephone and reception manners. Good memory. Good judgment. Public Relations

ability. Multi-tasking and remaining calm under pressure mandatory. Must be able to quickly arise from a sitting position

to answer/respond to code alarms. Preference for meeting and serving customers and concise detail oriented person is

needed.
