The Hardware Engineering team leads the design, development and production of mechanical hardware at Raytheon. We use state-of-the-art tools, processes, technology, and CORE/Lean principles. Mechanical Engineering’s capabilities encompass a broad range of technical disciplines which include engineering, product development, manufacturing, technical services, materials, processes, analysis, test and documentation.
The Precision Control Actuation Systems (PCAS) department, part of the Hardware Engineering functional organization, is a team of approximately 145 engineers based in Tucson, AZ, and Huntsville, AL. PCAS specializes in developing advanced Control Actuation Systems (CAS), including Aerodynamic Tail Fin and Canard Steering Control Sections, Thrust Vector, Attitude, and Divert Control Systems, as well as Control Surface and Wing Deployment Mechanisms, Stage Separation solutions, Nosecone Ejection Systems, and more. Our work focuses on delivering reliable, affordable and innovative product solutions for land, air, sea, and space.
The PCAS department is seeking a Deputy Project Manager to lead our common product organization. This role combines technical oversight, programmatic leadership, and team management responsibilities. You will collaborate with the Program Manager, Department Manager, Section Leaders, and technical leadership team to achieve PCAS and Mechanical Engineering goals, ensuring the team is aligned with organizational priorities and adequately staffed to meet program requirements.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
