The Commodity Specialist will be responsible for sourcing excellence and cost reduction opportunities with a strategic mindset and approach. They will have high visibility and growth potential in Procurement role working on global commodities with key stakeholders including those at the highest levels in the company.
General Responsibilities
• Develops schedules and manages orderly flow of projects from initial scoping and development to delivery and production of final assets
• Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
• Assists in developing project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
• Assists in developing detailed project plans including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints
• Track and update changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs
• Regularly communicates and presents project schedules, statuses, and updates to various team members and bringing solutions/opportunities
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Assists in performing risk management to minimize project risks
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
