Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end IT & Technology sourcing across all categories, including Hardware, Software, Licensing, Digital, Cloud / Hosting, IT Consultancy, Professional & Managed Services, Outsourcing and Telecoms
  • Co-develop and deploy global commodity strategies in collaboration with the Commodity Procurement Director (CPD) and Chief Information Officer (CIO), ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Drive demand optimisation and strategic sourcing decisions using market intelligence, emerging technologies and supply insights to mitigate risk and maximise value
  • Own the full supplier and category management lifecycle, including supplier selection, performance management, budgeting, negotiations, process improvements and resolution of critical supplier issues
  • Lead complex commercial negotiations, including engagement with monopolistic or highly dominant suppliers, where limited alternative options exist

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience owning or leading IT Procurement at a global or multi-regional level
  • Strong background in managing end-to-end sourcing across multiple IT categories
  • Experience operating in complex, matrixed and multi-stakeholder environments
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating with suppliers in constrained or single-source environments

Technical Competencies

  • Experience with E-Procurement, sourcing and contract management systems (P2P)
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using data analysis tools
  • Experience working with ERP systems and IT/software environments
  • Understanding of supplier management, including single-source and monopolistic vendor environments

Key Soft Skills Competencies

  • Excellent planning and advanced negotiation skills, with the ability to deliver value for money even in challenging supplier landscapes
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Proven ability to lead and deliver change, particularly in dynamic or evolving organisations
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Nice to Have

  • Degree in commercial or engineering, preferably with a specialization in Global Procurement
  • Experience working in transformational environments, such as post-merger integration, procurement transformation or organisational change initiatives
  • Exposure to contract harmonisation, supplier consolidation or synergy-driven programmes
