Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the optical supplier base to make sure COS
• Take lead on driving material cost reduction by negotiation, VAVE (value added value engineering), sourcing, bidding, and etc.
• Define commodity strategy and ensure solid execution of the corresponding action plans across the organization
• Negotiate VMI program and business contract with suppliers.
• Facilitate the understanding and use of leading-edge technology in the sourcing Optical components and materials on a global basis.
• Work as a bridge between design team and suppliers.
• Perform SBR (Supplier business review) with key suppliers.
• Participate supplier system audit
• Manage supplier’s partnership and risk

Qualification & Requirements

• BS degree and above
• Minimum 8 years of fiber optics industrial product commodity Management experience
• Knowledgeable on optical material technology and manufacturing process
• Strong negotiation and presentation skill.
• Ability to deliver on short term objectives while driving long term changes.
• Skillfully communicate in English in both verbal and written.
• Be able to travel in and out of China frequently.
