We are seeking a highly skilled Global Commodity Buyer with proven expertise in actuator and sensing procurement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills with global vendors, excellent communication abilities, and a solid track record in commodity strategies and supplier panel management. This role will be instrumental in strengthening our procurement strategy and driving supplier performance worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
🌍 Supplier Management & Development
Scout and onboard suppliers for new technologies supporting growth verticals.
Build and maintain a robust global supplier panel aligned with regional operational requirements.
Lead supplier integration processes, including prospection, CSA assessments, and supplier development in line with sub-commodity strategies.
📊 Strategy & Performance
Achieve Annual Operating Plan (AOP) objectives for assigned sub-commodities.
Drive quarterly Matex targets by leveraging productivity initiatives, conducting additional negotiations, implementing value engineering, and optimizing resourcing strategies.
Develop and consolidate productivity action plans to optimize cost and efficiency.
Manage sub-commodity strategy activities, ensuring alignment with customer and platform needs.
Conduct annual negotiations with assigned suppliers to secure competitive terms
🚀 New Product Introduction & Innovation
Support new product launches by collaborating with the NPI (New Product Introduction) team.
Generate and consolidate innovative ideas for global projects, leveraging supplier input.
Drive supplier performance improvement through quarterly business reviews and continuous development initiatives.
Candidate Profile
Strong negotiation skills with global vendors.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
Experience in actuator and sensing procurement.
Proven ability to manage supplier panels and execute strategies such as regional balancing and localization, new Supplier onboarding etc.
10+ Years Experience

Education / Qualifications
