We are seeking a highly motivated Indirect Commodity Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing indirect materials and services that support business operations while driving cost savings, supplier performance, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to supplier and stakeholder management.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Surveils the local procurement markets, informing the Commodity Managers of relevant trends/developments
  1. Negotiates with regional suppliers (new business decisions, annual price and savings negotiations) in agreement with Commodity Manager
  1. Carries out request for Quotations, Bid Analysis and supplier recommendations in agreement with Commodity Manager
  1. Executes supplier visits/audits with Supplier Quality Engineers
  1. Conducts cost analysis activities with Cost Analysis Team
  1. Provides assistance to the Commodity Managers for tenders, regular audits and supplier evaluations
  1. Responsible for everyday communication with suppliers
  1. Carries out contract management, incl. contract data maintenance
  1. Manages Engineering Change Process in production phase (i.e. Process "Make & Deliver")
  1. Troubleshoots (supports technical and time-critical ad-hoc requests/requirements)
  1. Executes measures in the area of commodity reporting and performance measurement
  1. Develops and updates templates, tools and standards in conjunction with the Competence Center
  1. Ensures regular communication with internal, external interfaces

Job Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
  • Years of working experience: Up to 5 years related working experience occasional travel required (approx. 10%)
