  • Material-related, worldwide procurement market management
  • Responsibility for daily operations and data quality in the assigned material field of sintering business
  • Independent management ("mentoring") of assigned suppliers, i.e.,
  • Planning and execution of price negotiations
  • Contract management
  • Supplier management and evaluation
  • Escalation level for Q/L problems
  • Insolvency management
  • Capacity assurance
  • Plausibility checks of purchase prices through cross-comparisons of part prices and cost structure analyses
  • Identification and monitoring of efficiency potentials for cost optimization and strategic alignment
  • Budget responsibility (including tools, sampling, and the bid process)
  • Independent development and implementation of part family and supplier strategies, including making relevant award decisions

Qualifications

  • Engineering (industrial engineering or mechanical engineering with additional commercial training) or
  • Business Administration
  • Solid purchasing experience (at least 3 years)
  • Experience in project management, preferably within project procurement, is desirable
  • Excellent technical understanding, strategic thinking, and a structured work approach
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • High degree of personal responsibility and motivation, as well as assertiveness and persuasiveness
  • Resilience; willingness to travel
  • Fluent in English, (German a plus)
