Manages the total cost, relationship, and commodity and supplier strategies for all Information and Digital Technology (“IDT”) needs. Guides the Digital Technology (“DT”) function through vendor sourcing, contracting, and manages on-going monitoring process to ensure compliance with GE Appliances and external regulatory requirements. Serves as a subject matter expert in the commodity, including the technology, materials, negotiation, market, and competition. Executes on low to moderately complex business initiatives, supports other Buyers, and drives the execution of the commodity strategy for products and programs. The role partners closely with Digital Technology, Finance, Legal, and business leaders to deliver cost savings, mitigate risk, and ensure supplier performance aligned to enterprise objectives

How You'll Create Possibilities

Essential Duties& Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Commercial Management

  • Lead end to end sourcing activities for DT categories, including supplier evaluation, competitive bids, negotiations, and contract awards.
  • Execute category and supplier strategies aligned to business, financial, and technology roadmaps.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, pricing models, Service Level Agreement (SLA), and contractual protections to optimize total cost of ownership and mitigate risk.
  • Identify and deliver measurable cost savings and value creation opportunities through strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Ensure sourcing activities comply with company policies, legal requirements, and external regulatory standards.

Vendor Governance & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Own vendor performance management, including Key Performance Indicators (KPI), SLAs, Scorecards, Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) and corrective action plans.
  • Lead Strategic Business Reviews and QBR’s with key suppliers.
  • Partner with DT leadership, Finance, and business teams on demand planning, budgeting, and forecast alignment.
  • Facilitate regular category and functional reviews with DT leadership and stakeholders.

Contract, Risk & Compliance Management

  • Own contract lifecycle management, including drafting SOW, RFP, RFQ, SOW, Maintenance renewals, amendments.
  • Review and evaluate contracts and SLA to identify improvement opportunities and manage commercial and operational risk.
  • Act on performance , expiration reports and compliance data to drive continuous improvement , renewals and supplier accountability.

  • Activeparticipationinweekly andbiweeklyoperationalandgovernance meetings.
  • Support site and engagement initiatives as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of sourcing tools, processes, and analytics.

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Position Requirement

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in IT sourcing, strategic procurement, vendor management, or related roles.
  • Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing suppliers in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver impactful results.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels and drive change cross functionally.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or business or related technical field
  • Two years of functional Sourcing experience preferred, with purchasing experience specifically in IT &or Home Appliances business.
  • Working knowledge of Sourcing Systems and processes
  • Understanding of Legal terminology and risk mitigation
  • Familiar with ITIL , AI Tools
  • Familiarity with SOC/PCI experience

Working Conditions:

  • The position is based in India, with the expectation the working hours will partially overlap the US Eastern Time Zone

  • Up to 10% travel required for domestic and/or international travel to affiliate sites and suppliers.
