Job Description

Our international team is searching for a new member to take over the responsibility as Commissioning/System Engineer of intralogistics solutions and mobile automation projects in a multicultural region Eastern Europe and Middle East / Africa.
In this position you are responsible for programing, installation and commissioning of mobile automation and intralogistics solutions (mainly AGV’s) at customer site. You closely align with the project manager to ensure smooth and successful project realization as well as achievement of technical and financial targets. Further you conduct trainings to end-user (internal and external). You substantially support the countries' intralogistics & mobile automation business of both KION Group brands, namely Linde and STILL.

Tasks and Qualifications:

More specific and detailed description of your responsibility in this position:

  • Designing, developing and implementing of hardware and software systems
  • Designing the system layout, including the warehouse plan with driving paths and pick/drop locations, using AutoCAD.
  • Identifying and resolving complex problems, applying your problem-solving skills to deal with various technical issues
  • Creating and reviewing project and component specification documentation
  • Collaborating with customers on full system design, approval, and acceptance
  • Performing system emulation analysis and review the results
  • Being part of the on-site team during system startup and implementation of the Go-Live phase
  • Developing strong customer relationships
  • Sharing knowledge and training end-users (customers and internally)

Below are the requirements for filling the position:

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field
• Experience in material handling automation equipment is advantageous, preferably with AGV’s and pallet conveyors
• Experience with WMS, WCS, or Control Level Software is advantageous
• Experience with object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms,
• Linux experience
• Programing language C, C++, C#
• Ability to apply complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in the area of specialization
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work well in an environment of international teams
• Strong organizational skills
• Self-starter who will take initiative to identify issues and pursue resolutions
• Works well in high-pressure situations

Language proficiency

• Very good English skills required to ensure reading and understanding of technical documentation and conversations with international stakeholders (internal & external)
• Every other additional language is an asset (German, French or any language spoken in EE/MEA)

Other requirements

• Willingness to travel (approx.50%)
• Driving licence
